What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The state posts dates, not the agreement's: May 1 2025 is the federal Davis-Bacon step date, and May 1 2026 is inferred from the state's first posting of $62.06 (May 21 2026). In Indiana the app uses the same rate (the federal schedule printed the same $58.91 for Hammond in 2025). The next step isn't published: then type your new rate under Enter my own rate.
- The weekly threshold, 4×10 rules and shifts aren't published; the app pays double time past 8 hours a day and past 40 in the week, on a 5×8 week only. Enter the hours you're paid for.
- The lodge's own list isn't published: the app pays nothing for a holiday you don't work and leaves a Saturday holiday on the Saturday.
- Local 1's 2025 report to the US Department of Labor gives field dues as a range, 4% to 8% of gross wages, without saying who pays which; the app takes 8%, the top of the range, so type your % on the Settings tab if your stub shows less. Monthly dues ($56.75 to $57.25) are paid to the lodge yourself, so they aren't on the check.
- The state's schedule shows no vacation contribution, and subsistence, travel and shift premiums aren't published, so the app takes no vacation off and adds none of them (ticking Night changes nothing).
Enter your own hours in the Boilermaker app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
A number on this page is wrong? Report a wrong rate: it opens the app's feedback box with this page named, no email needed.
Between jobs? Open the job-call board: public union hall job calls from across the US in one place, rebuilt every night.
Your agreement isn't here? Send us your agreement from the app's Settings tab. If the app doesn't have it yet, you get a free year when it's added.
