What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- A rule changed since isn't in it. Work under the National Maintenance Agreement or another national agreement isn't built in yet.
- The agreement's term ended September 30 2026 and the renewal's rates aren't public, so the app keeps the January 2026 rates: check your stub, and if it shows more, use Enter my own rate.
- The 'Mandatory-Eight' rule (missed weekday hours worked off at straight time in the week's next overtime) isn't followed, nor are the 30- and 28-hour holiday weeks of the 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- The agreement says only that overtime is 'adjusted accordingly'; the app pays every hour past 10 at double time (the over-10 rule), and the Friday and the Saturday at time and a half for 10 hours, then double. There's no make-up day.
- The app treats every night as a 2nd shift, so a 3rd shift of 7 hours gets 7.47 hours' pay instead of 8; on a 4×10, a Saturday, a Sunday or a holiday it adds no paid-but-not-worked time.
- Washington's filing for this agreement lists nine (no Martin Luther King Jr. Day); Veterans Day may be swapped for Christmas Eve and a local building trades council may move a holiday: untick or tick Hol. on the day.
- The time-and-a-half amount is rounded half up to the cent; and if you waived the vacation (it then stays on your check as wages), the app still takes it off, so your take-home is $3.84 an hour higher than shown.
- The monthly amount isn't published; the app takes $38.95, the least in Lodge 242's 2026 report to the US Department of Labor (up to $100.00), in the week that holds the 1st: type yours on the Settings tab. The Campaign Assistance Fund goes through the Vacation Trust and isn't taken.
- The agreement calls the per diem a partial reimbursement and doesn't say how it's taxed; the app treats it as tax-free when you stay away from home overnight and as taxable wages when you drive home each day, and uses the 2026 amounts for every week.
Enter your own hours in the Boilermaker app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
A number on this page is wrong? Report a wrong rate: it opens the app's feedback box with this page named, no email needed.
Between jobs? Open the job-call board: public union hall job calls from across the US in one place, rebuilt every night.
Your agreement isn't here? Send us your agreement from the app's Settings tab. If the app doesn't have it yet, you get a free year when it's added.
