What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The agreement prints only the percentages, so the apprentice dollars are the journeyman rate times the percentage, rounded to the cent.
- The 2027 split isn't published, so the app keeps the 2026 rates after June 1 2027: then type your new rate under Enter my own rate.
- On a 2nd or 3rd shift every hour past 7 is double time, but the app pays the first 2 of them at time and a half (the day-shift rule), and working through lunch (double time) isn't added.
- The agreement pages in our source don't say whether a holiday on a Saturday or Sunday moves, so the app leaves it on its date (the Fourth of July 2026 on Saturday July 4, Christmas 2027 on Saturday December 25); if your job takes the Friday or Monday off instead, tick Holiday on that day.
- The app uses $3.03 for weeks before June 1 2026 too; because it's added and then taken back, only the tax on the 42-cent difference changes (a few cents a week).
- The app figures the 4% on your wages without the vacation savings; if your stub figures it on both, your dues are about 12 cents an hour higher. Monthly dues aren't in our sources: type them on the Settings tab if your employer takes them out.
Enter your own hours in the Carpenter app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
Your agreement isn't here, or a number is wrong? Send us your agreement from the app's Settings tab. If the app doesn't have it yet, you get a free year when it's added.
