What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The foreman is paid the $3.00 minimum; the March 1 2027 apprentice dollars aren't printed, so the app works them out (the journeyman rate times the percentage, rounded to the cent); the agreement ends August 31 2027, so after that type your new rate under Enter my own rate.
- The app pays hours past 10 on a 4×10 day like hours past 8 on a 5×8 day (4 at time and a half, then double), pays every other Friday hour at time and a half, and lets a make-up day run at straight time up to 40 hours even in a week with a holiday.
- The app treats every night as a 2nd shift, so a 7-hour 3rd shift gets 7.47 hours' pay instead of 8.
- One on a Saturday stays on its date (Independence Day 2026 on Saturday July 4).
- The package is worked out from the agreement's $77.32 on September 1 2023 plus its raises of $1.25 every March 1 and September 1 ($84.82 from September 1 2026); apprentices pay on their own package, which isn't published, so the app takes the journeyman's amount (an apprentice's dues shown here are higher than the real ones). The agreement also takes a vacation fund deduction ("VAC") from net pay, but its amount isn't published: the app doesn't take it, so take-home here is higher than your stub by that much.
Enter your own hours in the Carpenter app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
A number on this page is wrong? Report a wrong rate: it opens the app's feedback box with this page named, no email needed.
