What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The 2025 rates aren't published with these sheets, so the app uses the 2026 rates for earlier weeks too (for a 2025 week use Enter my own rate), and keeps them after June 1 2027 until the new sheet: then type your new rate under Enter my own rate.
- The agreement's overtime article isn't public, so the multipliers aren't known. The app takes the cautious route: every hour past 8 Monday to Friday, every Saturday and Sunday hour and every holiday hour is paid at time and a half. Many carpenter agreements pay double time for some of these, so your stub may be higher. The sheet says overtime and apprentice percentages are figured on the total taxable wage, as the app does. Whether there's a make-up day isn't known: don't tick Make-up day unless your stub pays one at straight time.
- The rate for work on a holiday isn't in our source, so the app pays time and a half, and leaves a holiday on a Saturday or Sunday on its date.
- The sheet doesn't say whether they come off per hour worked or at the overtime multiple; the app takes them at the multiple (an overtime hour counts 1.5), the cautious choice, and uses the journeyman's amounts for apprentices and foremen too.
- Whether it's paid on your check or into a fund isn't stated, so the app leaves it out (the cautious choice); if your stub shows it as pay, your gross is that much higher.
- The app doesn't add it: for a week in a zone use Enter my own rate with the $4.00 or $6.00 added (that also multiplies it on overtime, which the agreement may not do).
Enter your own hours in the Carpenter app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
