What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The 2025 apprentice rates are worked out as 45 to 75% of $71.76 ($32.29, $39.47, $46.64, $53.82). On June 1 2027 the package goes up $2.50 an hour and the split isn't published, so the app keeps the 2026 rates: then type your new rate under Enter my own rate.
- The app has no triple-time rate, so Labor Day hours show at double time, a third short of what's owed.
- The premium is added only on straight-time hours, as the schedules don't say whether it's paid on overtime. Off-hour work in occupied buildings (+$1.00 an hour and 8 hours' pay for 7 worked) isn't built in.
- The schedules don't say whether a holiday on a weekend moves, so the app keeps each holiday on its date (Independence Day 2026 is a Saturday, worked at double time).
- The scale prints straight-time amounts only. On overtime hours the app takes the vacation and the three funds at the overtime multiple ($10.50 vacation at time and a half), as they're part of the taxable rate that overtime multiplies; if your stub takes them flat, your take-home is a little higher. The 1st- to 3rd-year apprentice amounts are worked out at their percentage, rounded to the cent (the 1st-year rate, $32.97, adds up from them exactly), and weeks before June 1 2026 are taken at the 2026 amounts.
- The scale doesn't say how it's taxed. A flat daily amount paid to everyone is normally taxable wages under IRS rules, so the app adds it to taxable pay, with no dues or vacation on it.
