What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The 2025 apprentice rates are worked out at the same percentages of $40.26 ($26.17 to $36.23). The package goes up $4.25 on June 1 2027 and again on June 1 2028, to be allocated, so the app keeps the 2026 rates until your new rate is out: then type it under Enter my own rate.
- The app has no triple-time rate, so Labor Day hours show at double time, a third short of what's owed.
- The app works overtime dues as 1.5 × $3.41 = $5.115 an hour, half a cent under the printed $5.12, takes Labor Day hours at the double-time dues, and uses the 2026 amounts for weeks before June 1 2026.
Enter your own hours in the Insulator app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
