What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- On January 4 2027, July 5 2027 and January 3 2028 the package goes up $2.25 an hour each time, and how each raise is split between the wage and the funds isn't published yet, so the app keeps the July 6 2026 rates: type your new rate under Enter my own rate when the next Schedule A comes out.
- The agreement doesn't say what a make-up day pays past 40 hours in the week; the app pays straight time up to 10 hours and the 40-hour week, then time and a half.
- The app doesn't mark the Saturday after Thanksgiving by itself: if you work it, tick Holiday on that day.
- The app treats every night as a 2nd shift, so a 3rd shift of 7 hours gets 7.47 hours' pay instead of 8 (enter 7.5 hours for it), and on a 4×10, a Saturday, Sunday or holiday it adds no paid-but-not-worked time.
- The app adds the PTO for every hour worked, so the half hour paid but not worked on a night shift has none, and it uses the July 6 2026 amount for earlier weeks too, so a week before July 6 2026 shows a little more PTO, and tax on it, than the stub.
- The app uses the July 6 2026 work assessment for earlier weeks and counts every per-hour deduction on hours worked. Monthly dues are paid to the local yourself, so they aren't on the check.
- The app uses the July 6 2026 amounts for every week, and the agreement doesn't say how zone pay is taxed: a flat daily amount is normally taxable wages under IRS rules, so the app adds it to taxable pay (no dues or PTO on it). Parking (up to $35.00 a day with a receipt), tolls and some ferries are reimbursed: type them under This week's extras.
Enter your own hours in the Ironworker app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
