What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- Local 9's overtime and holiday rules aren't published. The app uses the most common pattern in the agreements that publish theirs: past 8 hours a day Monday to Friday and every Saturday hour are time and a half, with no step to double time on a weekday; Sundays and holidays are double time. Five 8-hour days only (any 4×10 rules aren't published); enter the hours you're paid for, not an unpaid lunch. Check overtime against your stub.
- The holiday list isn't published either, so the app marks the six holidays every pipe trades agreement read for this app has: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, each on its own date (one on a weekend doesn't move), unpaid unless worked and double time when worked. Tick Holiday on any other day your job observes. Show-up pay isn't published either: enter the hours you're paid for.
- The app can hold one differential, so it pays the smallest, + 10% of the straight-time rate for every hour worked on a night; on new work that's 15 to 20% of the rate short an hour, so for a run of new-work shifts untick Night and use Enter my own rate with your shift rate.
- The per-hour amounts are counted on hours worked, and apprentices pay the full amounts (the package says apprentices' fringes follow their percentage except welfare, training, PAC and benevolent, but doesn't say how the deductions do).
- Per diem isn't published, so none is added.
Enter your own hours in the Pipefitter app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
Your agreement isn't here, or a number is wrong? Send us your agreement from the app's Settings tab. If the app doesn't have it yet, you get a free year when it's added.
