What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The July 2025 rates are only in spreadsheet files, not read, so the app uses the 2026 rates for earlier weeks; and the package increases ($3.54 on July 1 2027, $3.67 in 2028, $3.81 in 2029) are split each May, so after July 1 2027 type your new rate under Enter my own rate.
- The app pays the premium as a flat amount for every hour worked, not multiplied on overtime (the sheet doesn't say), and only one premium at a time (a luffing tower crane would get both).
- The 24-hour weekly guarantee once called out, the 8-hour minimum for each day to layoff and show-up pay (2 hours, 4 if held past 2) aren't worked out: enter the hours you're paid.
- One Night tick can't tell them apart, so the app adds $2.00 for every hour worked that day; on a third shift your stub shows $2.00 an hour more.
- The app pays 8 hours' holiday pay for a holiday on a weekday you don't work, nothing for a Saturday holiday, and on a holiday you work only the double time (not the holiday pay on top); it doesn't check the day before and after.
Enter your own hours in the Crane Operator app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
