- Overtime
- A call can carry its own terms: data-center and plant calls often post pay over scale, a daily incentive or all overtime at double time, and work under the National Maintenance Agreement (from January 1 2027 the National Construction and Maintenance Agreement), the General Presidents' agreement or a project labor agreement has its own hours, overtime and holidays.
- Shift premium
- 17.3% of the rate on every hour worked on shift.
- Vacation and holiday pay
- Vacation, 15% of base (taxable, to the fund): paid with wages and sent to the fund, deducted after tax.

What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The 2025-26 sheet wasn't found; the app uses $48.75 from June 1 2025, worked out from two published figures that agree (the JATC's $22.43 starting rate and the state schedule's 2025 overtime step), and the percentages for that year's other classes. Hours per apprentice period aren't published.
- Local 252's overtime rules aren't published. The app uses the pattern of the IBEW inside agreements that publish theirs (Newark 1105, Cedar Rapids 405, Austin 520, Amarillo 602): every hour past 8 Monday to Friday and every Saturday hour at time and a half, with no step to double time on a weekday; Sundays and holidays double time. Five 8-hour days only (the state schedule says 4×10s at straight time and make-up days aren't allowed); enter the hours you're paid for, not an unpaid lunch. Data-center and plant calls often pay all overtime at double time: check your call and your stub.
- The holiday list isn't published, so the app marks the six holidays every IBEW inside agreement read for this app has: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, each on its own date (one on a weekend doesn't move), unpaid unless worked and double time when worked. Tick Holiday on any other day your job observes.
- Whether a shift is 8 hours' pay for 7½ worked isn't published; every night is taken as a 2nd shift (for a 3rd shift use Enter my own rate with 31.4% added), and on overtime hours the 17.3% isn't multiplied.
- The scale doesn't say how it's taxed; Davis-Bacon counts it in the hourly rate ($56.05 = $48.75 + 15%) and the state schedule multiplies it on overtime, so the app treats it as taxable pay, multiplied 1.5 or 2 times on overtime, that's sent to the fund after tax.
- Local 252's working dues aren't published. The app takes 5% of gross wages, the highest working-dues share in the IBEW agreements read for this app (Newark Local 1105's 5% working assessment; Louisville's is 4.5% plus 10 cents an hour, Cedar Rapids' 4%, San Antonio's and Amarillo's 3.5%): type yours as the dues % on the Settings tab. Monthly (base) dues are paid to the local, not taken by the app. The 401(k) deferral is voluntary and not taken.
Enter your own hours in the Electrician app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
