What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- The later steps are the sums of the sheet's increases (derived), and the apprentice hours per period are an estimate (the sheet's text is scrambled).
- 4×10 rules aren't printed, so five 8-hour days only.
- Every night is taken as a swing shift (for a graveyard shift use Enter my own rate with 31.4% added), and on overtime hours the 17.3% isn't multiplied.
- Local 340's working dues aren't published. The app takes 5% of gross wages, the highest working-dues share in the IBEW agreements read for this app (Newark Local 1105's 5% working assessment; Louisville's is 4.5% plus 10 cents an hour, Cedar Rapids' 4%, San Antonio's and Amarillo's 3.5%): type yours as the dues % on the Settings tab. Monthly (base) dues are paid to the local, not taken by the app. The sheet also says (Art. VI.5) the employer makes a savings payroll deduction of 20%, 12% or 8% 'at the option of the employee': its base and tax treatment aren't published, so the app doesn't take it; if your stub shows it, add it to the dues % on the Settings tab.
Enter your own hours in the Electrician app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
A number on this page is wrong? Report a wrong rate: it opens the app's feedback box with this page named, no email needed.
Between jobs? Open the job-call board: public union hall job calls from across the US in one place, rebuilt every night.
Your agreement isn't here? Send us your agreement from the app's Settings tab. If the app doesn't have it yet, you get a free year when it's added.
