What's missing
Where the app can't follow a rule to the letter yet, its notes say so, and say how to allow for it when you enter your hours. From this page's agreements:
- $42.30 from January 1 2026 is from a summary of the state's 2026 Type B poster (the poster itself couldn't be opened); the 2026 cable splicer and apprentice rates are the percentages applied to it. Foreman and general foreman rates aren't published: use Enter my own rate.
- The add-on is figured on the 2026 Zone 1 rate, so weeks before 2026 are a few cents high; it's added to apprentices too (check your stub). Commuting isn't paid; shop-to-job and job-to-job travel is paid at the Zone 1 rate.
- Local 611's overtime rules aren't published. The app uses the pattern of the IBEW inside agreements that publish theirs (Newark 1105, Cedar Rapids 405, Austin 520, Amarillo 602): every hour past 8 Monday to Friday and every Saturday hour at time and a half, with no step to double time on a weekday; Sundays and holidays double time. Five 8-hour days only; enter the hours you're paid for, not an unpaid lunch. Data-center and plant calls often pay all overtime at double time: check your call and your stub.
- The holiday list isn't published, so the app marks the six holidays every IBEW inside agreement read for this app has: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, each on its own date (one on a weekend doesn't move), unpaid unless worked and double time when worked. Tick Holiday on any other day your job observes.
- Shift premiums aren't published, so none is added when you tick Night. If your call posts one, use Enter my own rate with it added.
- Local 611's working dues aren't published. The app takes 5% of gross wages, the highest working-dues share in the IBEW agreements read for this app (Newark Local 1105's 5% working assessment; Louisville's is 4.5% plus 10 cents an hour, Cedar Rapids' 4%, San Antonio's and Amarillo's 3.5%): type yours as the dues % on the Settings tab. Monthly (base) dues are paid to the local, not taken by the app. The IBEW Pension Benefit Fund dues ($23 a month) are paid with your monthly dues.
Enter your own hours in the Electrician app: it applies these rates, the overtime and holiday rules, dues and tax, and keeps a year of paychecks. Free for a month.
